BMA Miljö Öppet bolag was founded in autumn 1990 by Bengt and Michael Andersson.

The company started its transport activities in January 1991 with a purchase of a three-axle Scania LBS 111, model year -79. Some time later a timber crane and a trailer were acquired.

In the beginning Bengt was working alone and as a part-time chauffeur, but with an increasing demand for transport services both Michael and Bengt became full-time entrepreneurs.

The following years were very busy in building the electrical grid in archipelago and handling transports as well as maintenance for roads. By 1997 the company had acquired a small annex and were offering postal as well as construction services.

The businesses were flourishing year after year and the small annex quickly became too crowded. Thus, in 2005 an old boutique in the centre of Korpo was purchased and renovated, and as a result Mini-market and lunch café Cap Horn was born. In 2009 more square meters were obtained when the old post house was bought and annexed to the existing building.

Today BMA Miljö employs 7 full-timers and offers a wide variety of services.
